The lock icon in the browser depends on a certificate. We check it every day so it never expires by surprise.

What it does

We read the certificate your site uses, check that it is valid, matches your address and is set up correctly.

When we alert you

30, 14, 7 and 1 days before it expires, and right away if it is broken or does not match.

Why it matters

An expired certificate shows visitors a scary warning page, and most of them will leave.
